Thats awesome! Not awesome having a disease but having someone you can chit chat with about summer patch is pretty cool. We used to go up to Ohio states turfgrass facility and the pathology professor was my favorite station, along with weed control!

Given the disease I always fight Bermuda seems very enticing sometimes🤣

Pete your seed (cool blue) has been amazing and transformed my yard . Any thoughts on pre germination for this particular seed ? I envy all those videos of other grasses that are over grown and they cut it short AND ITS STILL GREEN! I went from 3” to 2-1/2” and it looks like I scalped it.

I guess the common Bermuda that continues to encroach on my yard has soured me on Bermuda for decades. After the full renovation with GCI Cool Blue last fall, I’m trying to keep it alive again n this hot dry spell in Concord, NC. I see common Bermuda trying to make its way in already from my neighbors, along with Nutsedge and I am afraid to spray for it until we get some rain and cooler temps. I need to spray fungicides again as well and have had some rust show up.

Celebration Bermuda with its deep blue green color is fantastic. Especially under regulation

I’m a 6000 sq ft lawn home owner is there a smaller cheaper bottle of Escalade 2? I use tenacity/speed zone for post. Prodiamine for pre. Escalade sound perfect for rd two but that price is out of my range unless the shelf life is 10 years any suggestions?

Hey Pete awesome Channel brother been a long time follower but I think this is my first comment on one of your videos. So I was recently watching a video you had made last year I believe about your watering schedule for your 3 different areas of grass you have. I was just curious, for your TTTF lawn around your house with your in ground irrigation system, what size nozzles do you utilize in your hunter I-20’s? I’m sure your well like you mentioned has a significantly higher output than mine so I was just curious to what size nozzles you run in your heads. My system only puts out around 15 GPM. So on some of my zones that I have 180 heads and 360 heads I run 2.0 GPM nozzles in my 180’s and 3.0 in my 360. I know ideally I would want 4.0 in the 360 heads to get matched precipitation for that zone but I can’t really do that without exceeding that 15 GPM for my system output. But in some of those zones the turf gets blasted by the sun all day so having upgraded my 1.5 GPM nozzles to 2.0 it’ll give those areas that get heat stress a little faster a chance to get some more water. -Nick

Mr Pete, it doesn’t matter if it’s Tall Fescue, Bermuda, KBG, etc…. You could even make Centipede or Bahia look good.

I have Celebration Bermudagrass here in Eastern NC, I keep it at 1/2 inch. It has surprised the snot out of me for it's drought and shade tolerance. Nothing beats the low mow and she is smooth.

I've seen the same thing with KBG. Places with good black soil with a lot of organic matter will have less problems with heat, disease and weeds and will have darker, healthier leaves. I'm currently planning to inject better soil into weak spots.

KBG during spring in zone 5-6 is = memory foam bedding.

There is no grass better for sports than that grass. Looks killer!

I just cut my yard monday i put some scotts Bermuda grass and Pennington Bermuda as well cause i live in west texas i watered the grass Tuesday night for about 2 hrs at night yesterday i raked on the bald spots i had and layed seeds with my hand spreader on 5th setting and then watered yard for about 2 hrs after laying seeds untill about 10pm and then it sprinkled light till this morning around 6am now ill water it again tonight or should i do it 3 times a day insted of once a day 2 hrs in the later afternoon around 8pm which would be better thanks for the help as well

If that weed would stay green 10 months outta the year, I might consider it.

Hey Pete, you tell me what you suggest. I am planning to get either spray buddy 15 G or cart buddy 20 G. I have 10-11k sq feet lawn and not sure which one to go with. If I buy 15G spray buddy, I think I have to fill up twice if I go with 2gpm per 1ksq ft but I would save around $350 if I go with spray buddy. So is it worth spending $350 more which would save me just filling for one more time?

Have you used any of the Bradley Mowers? Would be neat if you did! They’re built in the USA in Illinois.

Pete great review! I found that if you remove a bushing or 2 from under the platform, it will soften the platform quite a bit. Makes it a lot nicer ride, as the machine is pretty rigid. Helps a lot!

I watch plenty of them and I'll never understand why you didn't come across my feed along time ago? Well maybe i do, but that's another conversation far from lawn care! Hey Pete I have 80k sq foot (1.8 acres) of Bermuda and I'm debating buying the 50 gal cart buddy. Do you think this is enough sprayer for a yard this size or would you suggest I go with a 90 gallon 3 point sprayer for my tractor. I want to spray 1gal/1k and would have to mix twice with the spray buddy. Furthermore concerned about how heavy it will be to move through grass when full. What are your thoughts?

With a yard that big, 31 was probably the right choice.. Good luck maintaining that turf fescue with irrigation... For where it is at, the lawn looks perfectly fine in my honest opinion.

How does vortex compare to using a 2.5 gallon Flowzone backpack with the mosquito sniper system that you have a video on?
